Raising Fibromyalgia Awareness Stationary Set Set of 10 double-sided Notecards with Envelopes. The glossy front says 'Raising Fibromyalgia Awareness' and has a picture of the purple awareness ribbon. This side can also be addressed as a postcard if desided. The back has a very light imprint of our logo, a figurehead which represents the most common painful triggerpoints in fibromyalgia. This is easily written over to be used as a notecard. This is equivalent to Bipolar patients, who have the highest cited suicide attempt rate of all psychiatric illnesses. Of the 8 or so patients in my own practice that attempted suicide in just 2 years, they all cited LACK OF VALIDATION AND SUPPORT BY THEIR LOVED ONES AND MEDICAL TEAMS as the prime reason. Far more patients have reported in their pain surveys (that I have in their medical charts) that they have seriously contemplated but not yet attempted suicide. HELP US HELP PATIENTS: KNOWLEDGE IS POWER, even if it isn't pretty. With knowledge and power our patients can better control their environments to better suit their conditions for Maximum Quality of Life. Fibromyalgia is a CHRONIC DISEASE; it may temporarily go into remission, but likely it will never go away. But because knowledge is power, we now know that wishing and hoping for that 'one magic pill' is useless. And BECAUSE knowledge is power, we can start right this very moment, changing our lives, our lifestyles, and our state of mind, all for the better!
