Wash hands with antibacterial cleanser and thoroughly dry 2. Thoroughly cleanse teeth by following your dentists recommendations: floss teeth followed by a careful brushing, making sure to remove all debris in between the teeth. 3. You will find in your kit 2 (two) types of impression materials [ 4 (four) sealed containers: of 2 (two) blue putty and 2 (two) of white putty] along with 4 (four) impression trays: 1 (one) set of small upper and lower trays and 1 (one) set of large upper and lower trays. a. Select the impression tray size that fits your mouth the best: these trays will neither impinge on your teeth nor fill out your face beyond its normal limits. Trays are marked with a ‘U’ indicating an upper tray, ‘L’ for lower tray and are also marked on the handle as either ‘S’ for small size or ‘L’ for size large. b. Once you have selected your trays, begin to quickly and efficiently mix one container each of the two (blue and white) impression materials together. Your mixing time should NOT extend beyond 50 (fifty) seconds. The best and recommended mixing action is the bend/fold method. 4. When the two materials have formed a uniform, light blue colored putty mixture, form the putty into the shape of a medium thickness hot dog and place it into one of your impression trays. 5. Placing the tray in your mouth, make sure that your teeth with be centered into the impression material; using your fingers, use even force to seat the tray firmly and evenly over the teeth and part of your gums. Expect that some putty will extrude out of the holes of the tray and even over the top. The tray will need to be held stable for 3-4 (three to four) minutes, without motion, until the putty has set and feels firm to the touch. 6. Once the putty has set, remove the impression tray from your mouth by using a firm, vertical releasing pull. Rinse the tray under cold water to ensure the set. DO NOT remove the impression from the tray. 7. Repeat steps 1-6 for the opposing arch and impression. Step 2: Mailing Your Impressions Please fill out your contact information (name, phone number, shipping address) on the enclosed shipping card.
