I have not "pumped" up any shipping charges - it is 100% accurate with only a $1.00 "handling charge" which I use to cover the cost of ink, tape, packaging (when using my own mailing supplies), which I do not feel is unreasonable. Normally combined shipping rates are full price for first item (highest shipping amount) and then 1/2 off each additional item. Due to recent problems that have occured with breakable items that have arrived damaged and insurance was not purchased, I feel I have to adjust this section. I pack all breakable items appropriatly and securely, however, even with this done some arrived damaged and I have been blamed. So I must clarify this policy. If you are purchasing an item that could possibly break, please for your own protection - spend the small amount of money and purchase the optional insurance that is offered on all auction listings. This way if for some reason, even after proper packaging it arrives broken, you can begin the process of getting a monetary compensation from the USPS. The USPS requires that the buyer/receiver of the item take the box, item, and postal label (it shows that insurance was purchased) and all packaging that was used to their local post office when filing a claim. I cannot do anything as the seller other than provide you proof of insurance purchased if they need anything other than what the printed shipping label shows. Please contact your local post office if you have any additional questions regarding insurance or go to the USPS web site at www.usps.com. Insurance is optional, but if not purchased, I will not be held responsible for any items that are lost or damaged in the mail.
