One benefit of this mixture, it allows the top, middle and base notes to dissipate in sequence. These spray-on perfumes are expensive (you are paying mostly for advertising!) and not all fine fragrances are available in handy concentrated roll-ons at reasonable prices. Perfume oils are the pure essence without fillers. Most perfume oils are mixed with a natural carrier oil to make the concoction skin-safe. A disadvantage is one does not experience the notes in sequence but more like a bouquet mingling all at one time.
