Both of them are eerily staring into the camera. There are some wipes and mat abrasions that do detract but the subject matter with its nice tones almost make up for that. The woman to the right is quite pretty. Overall this is a wonderful presentation of 1850s photography as this is a quality image from about 160 years ago! This is one of several daguerreotypes that I have listed and they came from the same source. The previous owner has generally reconditioned the case to include a new hinge and replaced the glass. He has also replaced the taping. Postage is free for this listing, even around the world!Be sure to use the supersize feature so that you can get a good look at the item(s) for sale. The postage quote includes First Class Mail via the Post Office within the U.S.; insurance is not included but is recommended based upon current USPS rates.
