I have found that since this item weights almost 4 pounds, the most economical way to send it is in a flat rate box (plus it fits in there perfectly) to any state, and that rate is $9.80. I have been told that this shipping charge seems "excessive" but I do not make anything on shipping and it would cost even more if I did not use a flat rate box. All postage has gone up in price and that includes the flat rate box also...but remember this is a heavy item.
