I'm not a professional hairdresser, so the handle took some getting used to. Now that I'm well practiced at handling it, it is actually easier to use than the conventional "springed" curling iron clamp. Be careful with the tip, another difference between the old curling irons and this one is that it doesn't have a protective, cool tip so ear burning is at high risk. I've burned my right ear twice.
