One benefit of this mixture, it allows the top, middle and base notes to dissipate in sequence. These designer perfumes are expensive (you are paying mostly for advertising!) and not all fine fragrances are available in handy concentrated roll-ons at reasonable prices. Perfume oils are the pure essence without fillers. Most perfume oils are mixed with a natural carrier oil to make the concoction skin-safe. A disadvantage is one does not experience the notes in sequence but more like a bouquet mingling all at one time. Benefits include very slow evaporation from the skin making them very concentrated and long-lasting along with a great price point that virtually anyone can afford.
