You can make your tan as dark or as light as you want. Hi Heather,     I love this product!!!  It gives me a natural looking tan...not deep dark and not orange.  My little tip....I'm pretty slim and find that I need a smaller brush for my feet, hands, ankles, etc.  I got a small one at Home Depot and it works perfectly.  I brush a tiny bit on the area with the dry side of the large brush and then blend with the smaller one.  For my feet...after blending, I go around the very bottom edge of my foot with a slightly damp washcloth.  The result....perfectly tanned feet, something I could never get right with other tanning products, including airbrush.  My feet always gave me away.  Also, I wear gloves, because I was getting some on my fingers and palms from the brush handle.  I have also found that it's better to paint a day or two earlier than I actually need to.  This helps keep the tan more even.  A definite plus is that it really does help moisturize rather than drying like airbrush solutions. Applying a good moisturizing lotion every day (except the day of painting) helps keep my skin from looking dry.  I soak in the hot tub almost everyday, with no problem.  There is very little "rub off" on sheets and clothing, after the first night, unlike airbrush tanning.  I'm still working on the process and am sure I will discover other little secrets as time goes by.  I live at the beach and now I can look like I do without the damage the sun does.   I will be ordering in the next couple of days to take advantage of the free shipping. Allow 4 hours after shaving. Shake the bottle well before each drop. Use one dime size drop on the brush and apply color. Use dry side to blend. Repeat in sections until body is covered. Allow to dry for 15 minutes. For best results allow 12 hours to absorb before rinsing excess. For darker color, reapply after next shower.
